The Central African Republic is rich in sunlight resources, but its power grid infrastructure is weak, which seriously affects economic development and people's livelihood electricity consumption. The 25MW photovoltaic + energy storage integrated project we designed for the country aims to build a highly reliable, intelligently controlled clean energy power system to provide 24-hour stable power supply for mining areas, towns and key facilities.

 

1. Project Core Challenges and Solutions

Challenge 1: The power grid is fragile and cannot support large-scale renewable energy grid connection

✅ Solution:

Photovoltaic storage off-grid/microgrid mode: Photovoltaic power generation is used to supply the load first, and excess electricity is stored in the energy storage system, with diesel generators as backup.

Intelligent dispatching system: dynamically optimizes charging and discharging strategies, reducing diesel consumption by more than 30%.

 

Challenge ② High temperature, high humidity, and dust affect equipment life

✅ Solution:

Photovoltaic modules: Double-sided power generation is used to adapt to high temperature and high humidity environments, with an annual attenuation rate of <0.5%.

Energy storage system: The temperature control system ensures stable operation at -20℃~50℃, and the service life is ≥6000 cycles.

Box-type substation: IP54 protection level, dust-proof and moisture-proof design, key components are made of stainless steel.

 

Challenge 3: Insufficient local operation and maintenance capabilities

✅ Solution:

Remote monitoring platform: real-time monitoring of power generation, battery health status, grid frequency, etc., supporting PC/mobile terminal viewing.

Local team training: Provide French technical manuals + on-site operation training to ensure basic operation and maintenance autonomy.

Pre-installed integrated solution: modular design of photovoltaic brackets, inverters, and energy storage systems to reduce on-site installation time.

High reliability design

The energy storage system supports seamless switching (<10ms), ensuring that critical loads (such as hospitals and communication base stations) are not disconnected from power supply.

The photovoltaic inverter has a PID repair function, which automatically restores component performance at night and extends its life.

 

Localization Adaptation

It complies with the Central African Republic SEL (Société d'Énergie du Liban) grid-connected standards and can be switched to off-grid mode.

Anti-animal gnawing design: cable sleeve + box body anti-rat board, adapt to the African wild environment.
