Moisture Protection Measures for Switchgear Cabinets During Wet Weather

1. Install Dehumidification Equipment

(1) Dehumidifiers:

A fan draws moist air into the unit. As the air passes through the heat exchanger, moisture condenses into water droplets. The resulting dry air is expelled, continuously cycling to reduce indoor humidity.

(2) Air Conditioning Dehumidification Systems:

Utilizes the low-temperature condensation principle of air conditioning. The system can be modified by separating the condenser and evaporator within the same room. The evaporator should include a water collection mechanism to prevent re-evaporation of the water. A water level switch controls a small pump to drain collected water when needed. If drainage is accessible, connect directly to wastewater pipes.

(3) Anti-Condensation Heaters Inside Cabinets:

After installation, temperature and humidity sensors monitor internal conditions. When levels exceed set thresholds, heating circuits activate heating plates to prevent condensation.


2. Optimize Switchgear Room Environment

(1) Strictly prohibit the storage of unrelated items. Ensure all equipment is free from dust/oil-free, the floors are clean/dry, and the environment remains orderly.

(2) Maintain adequate lighting and functional ventilation systems.

(3) Ambient temperature should not exceed 40°C; relative humidity must stay below 80%.

(4) Ensure unimpeded drainage. Prevent roof/floor leaks and install robust rodent/vermin barriers.

(5) Apply waterproof membrane treatments to walls/floors.

Corrosion-induced poor contact in components
