The XGN2-12 Box-Type Fixed Metal-Enclosed Switchgear (hereinafter referred to as "switchgear") is a 12kV rated indoor fixed high-voltage switchgear suitable for three-phase AC 50Hz power systems. It is primarily used in power plants, substations, industrial and mining enterprises for receiving and distributing electrical energy, and providing control, protection, and measurement for circuits. Its busbar system is based on a single busbar, which can be derived into a single busbar with bypass or a double busbar structure. It is particularly suitable for frequent operation scenarios.

1.Robust Structure and Compartmentalized Design

    The enclosure adopts a metal-enclosed box structure, and the frame is usually welded from angle steel, making it sturdy and durable.

    The interior is clearly divided into four functional compartments: circuit breaker compartment, busbar compartment, cable compartment, and relay compartment. Compartments are separated by steel plates. This structure can limit faults to local areas and prevent accident expansion.

    The busbars are arranged in a "triangular" pattern at the upper rear of the cabinet, helping to reduce the overall cabinet height.

    High protection degree (IP2X or IP3X), effectively preventing foreign object entry and human access to live parts.

2.Advanced Electrical Components and Connection

    The main switch usually employs the ZN28-12 series vacuum circuit breaker. Alternatives like ZN63A-12, ZN65A-12, ZN12-12, or ZN63-12 (VS1) vacuum circuit breakers can also be used, offering strong breaking capacity and suitability for frequent operation.

    Isolating switches often use GN30-10 or GN30-12 rotary isolating switches, or GN22-10 high-current isolating switches, providing flexible operation.

    Operating mechanisms can be electromagnetic (e.g., CD10) or spring-energy storage type (e.g., CT8, CT17/CT19).

    The air insulation distance between phases and to earth inside the cabinet is typically greater than 125mm, and high-strength epoxy resin supporting insulators are used, ensuring excellent insulation performance.

3.Comprehensive Safety Interlocking and Protection

    Equipped with a strict "Five Prevention" mechanical interlocking function achieved through mechanical linkage mechanisms, effectively preventing misoperation and ensuring the safety of personnel and equipment:

    Prevent making or breaking isolating switches under load

    Prevent erroneous opening or closing of the circuit breaker

    Prevent live earthing (closing the earthing switch)

    Prevent closing the circuit breaker (isolating switch) with the earthing switch closed

    Prevent access to live compartments

    The circuit breaker compartment is equipped with pressure relief channels for rapid pressure release and gas venting in case of internal arc faults.

    Can be equipped with conventional protection or microprocessor-based comprehensive protection systems for reliable circuit protection.

4.Flexibility and Applicability

    Flexible main circuit schemes: single busbar, single busbar with bypass, or double busbar systems are available to meet different user requirements.

    Spacious cable compartment facilitates cable connection and installation of voltage monitoring devices, etc.

    The relay compartment is located at the front upper part of the cabinet, convenient for installing and maintaining indicating instruments, signal components, and other secondary equipment. Secondary small busbars can be arranged on the top.

    Designed for two-sided maintenance (front for secondary components and operating mechanisms; rear for main busbars and cable terminals) or one-sided maintenance (rear sealed plate, not against the wall).

    Installation Site: Indoor places without fire, explosion hazards, severe pollution, chemical corrosion, and severe vibration
