Vacuum Resin Dry Transformer Overview:
The SCB10 series epoxy resin cast dry-type transformer is a high-performance dry-type transformer characterized by superior electrical strength, mechanical durability, and heat resistance. It is an excellent choice for urban power grid transformation projects. Manufactured using advanced production and testing equipment in accordance with stringent technological standards, this transformer offers high reliability and a long service life. Depending on the application environment, it can be equipped with various levels of protective shell or without a shell. This makes it suitable for a wide range of environments including high-rise buildings, commercial centers, hospitals, airports, subways, tunnels, densely populated residential areas, as well as special environments such as oil refineries, chemical plants, nuclear power plants, and nuclear submarines.
Vacuum Resin Dry Transformer Features:
High voltage winding
High voltage winding is with epoxy resin filled vacuum casting, which greatly reduces the partial discharge and improves the electrical strength of the coil. The inner and outer walls of the winding with glass fiber mesh plate filling, improves the impact toughness of the coil and the ability of resistance to sudden short circuit of the transformer. The coil is never dry crack.
Low voltage winding
The foil structure of the low-voltage winding solves the problem of radial helix angle when winding with wire, and makes the ampere-turns more balanced. At the same time, the coil uses radial cooling air pipe, which improves the heat defeat ability. The winding solid layer uses DMD epoxy resin prepreg, and the overall is dry solid forming.
Iron core
The iron core is made of high-quality cold-rolled silicon steel sheet, 45°full oblique joint structure; The core column is bound with F grade weft less adhesive tape, and the core surface is wrapped with epoxy resin, which reduces no-load loss, no-load current and iron core noise. Clamping parts and fasteners are treated with a unique surface to further improve the appearance quality of the product.
Dry Type Epoxy Resin Cast Power Transformer Advantage:
One of the key advantages of vacuum cast coil dry-type transformers is their superior insulation properties. The vacuum casting process completely encapsulates the coils in epoxy resin, providing excellent protection against moisture, dust, and other contaminants. This high level of insulation helps prevent electrical faults and ensures the longevity of the transformer, reducing the risk of downtime and costly repairs.
In addition to insulation, vacuum cast coil dry-type transformers are highly resistant to temperature fluctuations. The epoxy resin used in the casting process has high thermal conductivity, allowing the transformer to operate efficiently even under extreme temperatures. This makes them ideal for harsh environments, such as industrial plants, mining operations, and outdoor installations, where temperature variations are common.
Another benefit is their compact and lightweight design.Unlike traditional oil-filled transformers, which can be bulky and heavy, vacuum cast coil transformers are easier to transport and install. This makes them a cost-effective solution for projects with space limitations or weight restrictions.
Safe, fire-resistant, and environmentally friendly.
Maintenance-free, easy installation, and low overall operating costs.
Excellent moisture-proof performance, allowing normal operation at 100% humidity and immediate operation after shutdown without pre-drying.
Low losses, low partial discharge, low noise, and strong heat dissipation capability, enabling operation at 150% rated load under forced air cooling conditions.
Equipped with a comprehensive temperature protection control system to ensure reliable transformer operation.
High reliability, as demonstrated by operational studies showing that the products have achieved international advanced reliability standards.

Cast Resin Dry-Type Distribution Transformer
The Vacuum Resin Dy Transformer.composed of an iron core and epoxy cast resin coils, offers strong short circuit resistance low maintenance, low noise and high efficiency.
Unlike oil-filled transformers cast resin transformers do not have the risk of oil leakage. They are commonly applied in medium voltage distribution systems, such as 11k/33k/ to 0.415kV, and are widely used in power stations, hospitals, and factories.
The reliability of the winding material determines the safe operation and service life of the transformer, therefore, monitoring the winding temperature is crucial to ensure the transformer operates under normal working conditions.
Dry Type (Cast Resin) Transformers
Dry type transformers differ from oil-filled transformers in their cooling method. The high voltage windings are coated with epoxy cast resin under vacuum, while low voltage windings can be produced using either cast resin or resin-impregnated prepreg methods.
They are available in natural air-cooled AN or an cooled (AF versions with power ratings fom25 KVA to 25000 KVA and medium voltage levels up to 72.5KV. Fan cooling can provide up to a 40% power increase.
Manufacturing dry type transformers requires advanced technology and expertise. With increasing customer demand, their market share has grown compared to oil-flied transformers. However, producing large dry type transformers, especially above 36-72.5kV, presents technological challenges, and research and development in this area continues at full speed. Dry type transformers do not use environmentally harmful coolants such as oil, have lower fire risk, require minimal maintenance, are moisture-resistant, can be commissioned at any time even after long periods of inactivity, and can be loaded more than 40% above nominal power with fan cooling, offering advantages over oil-filled distribution transformers. The main disadvantage is the higher initial cost compared to an oil-type transformer of the same power, though the sales share of dry type distribution transformers has been steadily increasing in recent years.
