Dry Type Electric Transformer Features:

    High voltage winding

High voltage winding is with epoxy resin filled vacuum casting.which greatly reduces the partial discharge and improves the electrical strength of the coil. The inner and outer walls of the winding with glass fiber mesh plate filling, improves the impact toughness of the coil and the ability of resistance to sudden short circuit of the transformer. The coil is never dry crack.

    Low voltage winding

The foil structure of the low-voltage winding solves the problem of radial helix angle when winding with wire, and makes the ampere-turns more balanced. At the same time, the coil uses radial cooling air pipe, which improves the heat defeat ability. The winding solid layer uses DMD epoxy resin prepreg, and the overall is dry solid forming.

    Iron core

The iron core is made of high-quality cold-rolled silicon steel sheet, 45°full oblique joint structure; The core column is bound with F grade weftless adhesive tape, and the core surface is wrapped with epoxy resin, which reduces no-load loss, no-load current and iron core noise. Clamping parts and fasteners are treated with a unique surface to further improve the appearance quality of the product.

FAQ

1. What are the primary applications for your Low Voltage Dry Type Transformers?

Our low voltage (LV) dry-type transformers are ideal for indoor power distribution where oil-filled units are restricted. They are widely used in data centers, commercial buildings, hospitals, and industrial plants to provide safe, reliable voltage transformation (e.g., 480V to 208V or 400V to 230V).

2. What insulation classes do you provide for LV transformers?

We primarily manufacture transformers with Class F (155°C) or Class H (180°C) insulation systems. These high-temperature ratings ensure that the transformer can handle continuous full-load operation and occasional overloads without degrading the winding insulation.

3. Why choose a "Dry-Type" over an oil-immersed transformer for LV applications?

Dry-type transformers are self-extinguishing and moisture-proof. They eliminate the risk of oil leaks and fire, making them much safer for indoor installations. Additionally, they are virtually maintenance-free, as there is no oil to test or replace.

4. What is the difference between VPI and Cast Resin insulation?

We offer two types of insulation technologies:

  • VPI (Vacuum Pressure Impregnation): Cost-effective, excellent for general indoor use.

  • Cast Resin: Windings are encapsulated in epoxy resin under a vacuum, providing superior protection against moisture, dust, and harsh industrial chemicals.

5. Do your transformers include electrostatic shielding?

Yes, upon request. We can integrate an electrostatic shield between the primary and secondary windings. This effectively suppresses high-frequency noise and transients, providing a "clean" power supply for sensitive electronic equipment and medical devices.

6. How do you handle heat dissipation in a dry-type design?

Our transformers utilize natural air cooling (AN) through optimized vertical cooling ducts between the windings. For higher power demands or confined spaces, we can equip the units with forced-air cooling (AF) fans to increase the continuous load capacity by up to 25-33%.

7. What Ingress Protection (IP) ratings are available for the enclosures?

Standard indoor enclosures are usually IP20 or IP23, which protect against solid objects and light water splashes while allowing for natural ventilation. For specialized industrial environments, we can customize the enclosure up to IP54 with filtered ventilation.

8. Are the windings made of Copper or Aluminum?

As a direct manufacturer, we offer both High-Purity Copper and Electrical-Grade Aluminum windings. Copper offers better conductivity and a smaller footprint, while Aluminum provides a more cost-effective solution with excellent thermal performance.

9. What testing standards do your transformers comply with?

Every transformer produced in our Shanxi factory is tested in accordance with IEC 60076-11 or IEEE C57.12.01. We conduct routine tests including:

Voltage ratio and vector group verification.

Insulation resistance and dielectric strength tests.

No-load and full-load loss verification.

10. How do you ensure the transformer is not damaged during international shipping?

We use export-standard reinforced plywood crates and moisture-proof vacuum packaging. The transformers are securely bolted to a heavy-duty wooden base to withstand the vibrations and impacts typical of long-distance sea or land freight.
