Dry Type Electric Transformer Features:

    High voltage winding

High voltage winding is with epoxy resin filled vacuum casting.which greatly reduces the partial discharge and improves the electrical strength of the coil. The inner and outer walls of the winding with glass fiber mesh plate filling, improves the impact toughness of the coil and the ability of resistance to sudden short circuit of the transformer. The coil is never dry crack.

    Low voltage winding

The foil structure of the low-voltage winding solves the problem of radial helix angle when winding with wire, and makes the ampere-turns more balanced. At the same time, the coil uses radial cooling air pipe, which improves the heat defeat ability. The winding solid layer uses DMD epoxy resin prepreg, and the overall is dry solid forming.

    Iron core

The iron core is made of high-quality cold-rolled silicon steel sheet, 45°full oblique joint structure; The core column is bound with F grade weftless adhesive tape, and the core surface is wrapped with epoxy resin, which reduces no-load loss, no-load current and iron core noise. Clamping parts and fasteners are treated with a unique surface to further improve the appearance quality of the product.

FAQ

Q1. What are the primary applications for the 10kV Dry Type Transformer?

A: Our 10kV dry-type transformers are specifically designed for environments with high safety requirements. They are widely used in high-rise buildings, commercial centers, airports, subway stations, and clean-tech industrial plants where oil-filled transformers are restricted due to fire or leakage risks.

Q2. Why is "Epoxy Resin Casting" superior to other insulation methods?

A: We use a Vacuum Casting process to encapsulate the high-voltage windings in epoxy resin. This creates a solid, void-free insulation barrier that is moisture-proof, dust-proof, and flame-retardant. Unlike traditional VPI (Vacuum Pressure Impregnation), cast resin offers much higher mechanical strength against short-circuit forces.

Q3. What is the fire-resistance rating of your transformers?

A: Our transformers are classified as F1 (Fire behavior), meaning they are self-extinguishing and non-flammable. In the event of an external fire, the resin will not support combustion or release toxic gases, making them the safest choice for indoor installations.

Q4. How do you ensure the long-term reliability of the insulation?

A: The key is our Partial Discharge (PD) control. At our Shanxi factory, we ensure that the partial discharge level of every 10kV unit is less than 10pC. Low PD levels prevent the internal aging of the resin, significantly extending the transformer's service life to over 30 years.

Q5. Can this transformer operate in high-humidity or coastal areas?

A: Yes. The vacuum-cast coils are hermetically sealed, making them highly resistant to moisture ingress and salt spray corrosion. They can perform a "cold start" reliably even after long periods of shutdown in 100% humidity environments.

Q6. What temperature monitoring and protection systems are included?

A: Every unit is equipped with an Intelligent Temperature Controller. We embed PT100 sensors into the low-voltage windings to provide real-time digital temperature displays. The system includes programmable "Alarm" and "Trip" contacts to protect the transformer from thermal overload.

Q7. What cooling modes (AN/AF) are available?

  • AN (Air Natural): For continuous operation at 100% rated capacity under natural ventilation.

  • AF (Air Forced): By activating our integrated bottom-mounted cross-flow fans, you can increase the continuous load capacity by up to 40% to handle peak demands.

Q8. What is the standard Ingress Protection (IP) rating for the enclosure?

A: Standard indoor units are usually IP20 or IP23. For specialized industrial or outdoor-sheltered applications, we can customize the enclosure up to IP33 to provide better protection against solid objects and water splashes while maintaining optimal airflow.

Q9. What are the standard voltage ratios and tap ranges?

A: Our 10kV series typically supports ratios like 10kV/400V, 10.5kV/415V, or 11kV/433V. We provide Off-Circuit Tap Changers with a range of $\pm 2 \times 2.5\%$ to allow you to fine-tune the output voltage based on your local grid conditions.

Q10. What testing standards do your transformers comply with?

A: All units are manufactured and tested in accordance with IEC 60076-11. Before leaving our factory, every transformer undergoes a full Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), including:

  • Partial Discharge Test ($<10pC$)

  • Voltage Ratio and Vector Group Verification

  • Insulation Resistance and Dielectric Strength Tests

  • No-load and Load Loss Verification
